Alex Becket, Everly Steinberg, 7, and Greg Steinberg, interviewed three weeks into the quarantine in Los Angeles

With elderly parents in town, Alex and Greg are trying to take care of them, while also maintaining a safe distance.

Alex - “My parents are in their late seventies. Greg’s Dad is 90 and lives alone. They both live about 45 minutes away. I started dropping off groceries for them, but it was just too much shopping. It was also very hard not to spend time with them when I brought groceries. 

“So I started delivering farm boxes and then online food deliveries, but many items have been unavailable. And it takes clicking throughout the day to make it to the checkout page if, you’re very lucky. Our parents don’t have the capacity to place online orders themselves, so I help out by placing the orders for them. It’s been a lot to manage on top all the house work and caring for Everly.”
