Playboy Bunny Reunion
The first Playboy Club opened in 1960 in Chicago, and featured hostesses wearing the iconic Playboy Bunny costume, consisting of a strapless bodice, hose, heels, cuffs and the bunny-ear headband. Entrance to the clubs required a paid membership, which allowed members to revel in live entertainment while being served by the Playboy Bunnies, some of whom appeared in the magazine. The clubs were most popular in the mid-20th century, with the last one closing in New York City in 2019.
In 2008, women who worked as Playboy Bunnies held a reunion on The Odyssey, a dinner cruise ship that docks at Navy Pier in Chicago. The ship was filled with nearly 100 Playboy Bunnies, who reconnected after years apart and danced late into the night.
